About Me
Hi. My name is Irene Klassen. And this is how I became involved with the wonderfully creative world of Paverpol.
Three years ago I went to the Creative Festival in Toronto. All the creativity inspired as well as intimidated me. I have always enjoyed making crafts but preferred to follow a pattern rather than step out and be creative on my own. I came across a booth with some amazing statues. I had never seen any quite like that before. When I stopped to admire them I was told I could learn to make one and I laughed. But I was intrigued and took her card. During the first class I made the t-shirt lady. Then I went back and made a mask. After that I was hooked. I have since completed the Paverpol Teacher Training Course. Paverpol is an environmental friendly, water based fabric hardener used to make garden statues, figurines and all sorts of decorations for your home and garden. The Paverpol dries hard after about 2 hours and following a curing time of 2 weeks can be varnished and left outside to decorate the garden. The wonderful thing about a Paverpol class is everyone can take home with a beautiful, unique creation of their own that they can be proud of. I am located in Simcoe, Ontario just 1/2 south of Brantford. Register for a class, bring a friend or your family. Tshirt lady - Oct. 31/15 Tshirt lady - Nov. 14/15 |
What is Paverpol?
|
Paverpol sculpting medium is an environmentally-friendly hardener par excellence from Holland! It was developed by Dutch artists as a user-friendly replacement for resin. Dip fabrics into Paverpol. Drape or wrap the material around a wire figure or other armature and leave it to dry. Paverpol dries fast, but slowly enough to allow plenty of open working time.
